In Search of Sanctuary is an interdisciplinary and interfaith response to intimate partner violence (IPV or domestic abuse). We disseminate research and resources for persons who have and who are currently experiencing IPV, as well as the faith communities that serve them. This site may help you locate a shelter near you, learn about domestic violence, consider tips when leaving abusive relationships, and understand interfaith responses to IPV.

Is to empower victims and survivors of intimate partner violence while reshaping the discourse within faith groups.
Our Vision
Is to see victims of intimate partner violence get the resources, support, and empowerment by their faith communities to find their way out of the abusive relationships.
