Characteristics of Domestic Violence

The Power and Control Wheel is a tool that helps explain the different ways an abusive partner can use power and control to manipulate a relationship. Look at the spoke of the wheel to learn more about one of the forms of abuse, including examples and red flags.

While women are disproportionately victims, men are also victims of domestic violence. While each case is unique, abusers use a range of abusive behavior to control their patterns including physical, emotional, psychological, sexual, financial, and spiritual abuse.

Do you recognize any of the warning signs in your own relationship?

Wheel of Respect

The Respect Wheel describes the qualities involved in healthy relationships. The Respect Wheel shows the changes needed for men who batter to move from being abusive to a non-violent partnership. Take a test to see if you're in a healthy relationship.
